Project Overview

From 2022 to 2026, Tanzania Education Co-operation Organization (TEC.ORG) is implementing the Plastic Waste Management Project to promote sustainable environmental practices and reduce plastic pollution across Tanzania. The project focuses on improving community awareness, encouraging responsible waste management, and supporting environmental conservation through education, innovation, and community participation.

Project Objectives

• Reduce plastic pollution in communities through awareness and education.
• Promote proper waste collection at Marangu River, sorting, recycling, and disposal practices.
• Encourage schools and community groups to participate in environmental conservation activities.
• Support innovation in plastic recycling and sustainable waste management solutions.
• Strengthen partnerships with local authorities, private sector organizations, and environmental stakeholders.
• Promote community participation in protecting ecosystems, water sources, and public spaces.
