Afforestation Program

Restoring Nature, Protecting Mount Kilimanjaro, and Building a Greener Future.

Program Overview

The Tanzania Education Co-operation Organization (TEC.ORG) is implementing the Afforestation Program (2024–2025) to promote environmental conservation through large-scale tree planting and ecosystem restoration in the Kilimanjaro Region, particularly around the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The program is designed to combat deforestation, restore degraded landscapes, improve biodiversity, and strengthen community resilience to climate change. Through collaboration with local communities, schools, government institutions, environmental organizations, and volunteers, TEC.ORG is helping to protect one of Africa’s most important natural ecosystems.
